Friday July 3 - Sunday July 5:   12th Annual Swiss Dog Day Afternoon - Fort Mason, San Francisco. A day for all the Swiss Mountain Breeds: Bernese, Greater Swiss, Entlebucher and Appenzeller Mountain Dogs and Saint Bernards. The Event is free if you're coming to watch, meet the dogs or find out more about these lovely breeds. Enjoy a Breed Parade, Carting Demonstrations, Swiss Music, a great Raffle and Handmade Crafts and Souvenirs. There will be a Swiss-Style Barbecue available for purchase. Enter your Swiss dog in one of the many events during the day including Conformation, Obedience and Rally "Fun" Matches, an AKC Canine Good Citizen Test, and the Mountain Dog Triathalon. On-site registration will be available from 9 - 10 AM and from 12:30 - 1:30PM depending on the event. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Swiss Benevolent Society and the individual breed Rescue and/or Health funds.

Thursday July 2 - Sunday July 5: Specialties / Weight Pulls - Ventura, CA. The South West GSMD Club is hosting a weekend of Specialties at the all-breed dog shows as part of the Summerfest cluster. The Golden Gate and South West clubs will be co-sponsoring Weight Pulls on Friday and Saturday evenings after the shows

Saturday, July 18: Club Meeting - in Pleasanton, CA. The club will be hosting a club meeting and social time for the dogs. The event will be from 10am to 2pm with the club meeting at noon at Muirwood Community Park, 4701 Muirwood Drive, Pleasanton, CA 94566. We will meet at the far end of the park near the picnic tables.

The event is open to everyone and will be a great opportunity to meet the breed for prospective new owners as well an chance to meet/catch up with fellow Swissy owners. There will be a Rally Obedience course set up for a fun challenge and some drafting equipment to try on and practice with.

There is a large dog run in the park so the dogs can play off-leash, if desired, and a kids play area at the other end of the park near the restrooms. There is ample street parking alongside the park. Please join us for the fun!

Friday, October 16 - Monday October 19: Specialties / Club Meeting / Weight Pulls / Draft Test - in Pleasanton, CA. -Pending Approval-The club is planning for an independent and a designated specialty at the Del Valle Dog Club show held at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, 4501 Pleasanton Avenue, Pleasanton, CA 94566. There will also be a club meeting shortly after the Swissies have finished showing on Saturday.

Tentative Schedule:
Friday - Pack Hike, Draft Test hosted by Sierra West Bernese Mountain Dog Club
Saturday - Sweepstakes, Independent Specialty, Weight Pull, Dinner
Sunday - Sweepstakes, Designated Specialty, Weight Pull
Monday - Supported Entry
